Marin County Cheese, Wine, and Seashore Trip
October 4-8, 2017

Join us for a memorable trip to Northern California like you have never experienced before. Most people visit Napa Valley and Sonoma County to do wine tasting. However, the picturesque county just west of Sonoma is less known, even though in the past couple of decades it has grown into a well respected artisanal cheese-making region. During this trip, we will visit Marin County and explore some of its delicious cheeses and scenery. The landscape is truly majestic with rolling green pastures, lagoons, and secluded coves. As we drive through the county roads to our various destinations, you will notice herds of cows, goats, and sheep leisurely gazing in the beautiful hills and meadows.

For this trip, we will depart Los Angeles on Wednesday evening by passenger and spend the night at a hotel halfway to our destination. We will call the group campsite at Samuel P. Taylor State Park our home for the next three nights. During this trip we will visit the quiet town of Point Reyes Station, learn about water buffaloes, taste freshly made Buffalo Mozzarella, do a lakeside tasting of one of the best soft cheese makers in Marin, do a wine and cheese pairing at a local winery, and explore some of the trails in the Point Reyes National Seashore Park.

Please note that this trip mostly evolves around cheese tasting and one wine tasting experience around Marin County. The cost of these activities is included in the trip. We will also offer two group hikes on Friday and Saturday.

And of course, we will be preparing sumptuous food as always.
